40 years ago as a teenage mod, sitting in a bedroom with my mates over for band practice, this music was all we listened to. Weller epitomised 60's cool and soulfulness and delivered it directly to me in my world and time. The first single Paul Weller bought (I know because he told me) was Wonderboy by The Kinks, one of his favourite albums was Odessey and Oracle by The Zombies, and so the World turns.
