'Afterglow of Your Love’ was released as a single in 1969 by the Small Faces. The song managed to reach No.36 in the UK Singles Charts.
The song was originally simply titled ‘Afterglow’ on the album on which it first appeared in May 1968, ‘Ogdens' Nut Gone Flake’.
The single version omits the acoustic intro and on this U.S. pressing adds an istrumental coda to the end.
The B-Side ‘Wham Bam Thank You Mam’ presages the heavy bands of the new decade, Free and Led Zeppelin about to gird their loins and do battle
for fresh honours. David Bowie, a huge Small Faces fan famously stole the line for his song ‘Suffragette City’.
